 Final Volunteer Planting Project Saturday

We began work along the Veteran's Memorial Parkway this spring with St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation.

Join ReForest London in our final tree planting project this Saturday, November 3 from 10am-1pm. We'll be planting native trees and shrubs along Veteran's Memorial Parkway.

This project, sponsored by Trojan Technologies and the City of London, will plant more than 100 trees along this important gateway to our city. If you drive, park at Trojan Technologies, 3020 Gore Road and follow the signs. Bring a shovel if you can.

ReForest London Wins OTF Award

ReForest London received a Great Grants Award from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in a gala ceremony last week. The Grant Review Team Chair's Award recognized our successes and especially commended the volunteer response to our events. So thanks to you, volunteers -- nearly 5,000 in 3 years! Together, we are making great changes in London. more info

Post Carbon London Workshops

Emerging global energy issues are beginning to have an impact on citizens in communities experienced by fluctuating fuel prices and increased pollution. Most people are not aware that up to half of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel dependency are under direct or indirect control of communities and municipal governments. How can we make a difference? How can we influence change locally? How can we introduce new possibilities to reduce energy use and poor air quality? Throughout November, Post Carbon London is hosting workshops for Londoners to share their ideas on reducing London's ecological footprint. For dates and locations, visit www.postcarbonlondon.ca.
