For three days beginning Thursday, you can buy a small gift and give a tree for Christmas.
ReForest London is selling hand-made clay ornaments and sets of note cards, and will also plant a tree for all the special people on your list.
Pictured at left is one of the four images created from the batik art of London artist Julie Picken-Cooper, donated to ReForest London.
You can buy a gift and a tree at these retail locations:
- Thursday, November 26, 11:00am-1:30pm, Talbot Centre, 148 Fullarton Street
- Friday, November 27, 11:00am-1:30pm, Talbot Centre, 148 Fullarton Street
- Saturday, November 28, Covent Garden Market, 130 King Street
- Friday, December 18, 11:30-1:30pm, One London Place, 255 Queens Ave
ReForest London will plant a tree in the name of the gift recipient during one of our spring or fall tree planting events. If you sign up for our email list, you will be informed of our tree planting events, and if you wish, you can come to plant the tree yourself!
These items are only available at the retail locations above, but you can give a tree through an online donation anytime.

Thursday, November 26, 10am, Courthouse, 80 Dundas St.
Last week we told you about the appeal of the OMB ruling upholding the woodland protection by-law.
Last year, the City of London and the London Woodland Coalition (comprised of number of organziations including ReForest London) successfully defended the City's change in criteria making it easier to protect London's remaining woodlands. The change in criteria had been challenged by a number of companies but was upheld by the OMB. Now that ruling is being challenged by the same group of companies.
The appeal hearing begins on Thursday. Observers are encouraged to go to court room #15, which is on the 7th floor of the Courthouse, 80 Dundas. It is open court. It will take some time for all the lawyers to present their arguments. Observers can come and go.
