 ReForest London 2006 Annual Report

Two boys planted trees last fall at Sir John A MacDonald School

Our 2006 Annual Report details our success this year toward reaching our goals of improving ecosystem health, empowering people to plant trees, and educating people about trees. We also acknowledge the generous support of those who fund us and provide in-kind support.

Spring Project Calendar

We are putting the final touches on our spring project calendar, and will send it to you as soon as it is finalized. This spring, we'll need your help planting trees in the Glen Cairn neighbourhood, Westminster Park neighbourhood, Medway Valley neighbourhood, and at St. Julien Park.

We're also planting trees with school children at Marie Curie school, Tecumseh School, St. Francis School, and River Forks Park, and are supporting a new garden at Banting House.

here is a list of our spring projects

London MPP's Deb Matthews, Chris Bentley, and Khalil Ramal helped load mulch at an event at River Forks Park last spring.

May 28-June 1, 2007
Fanshawe Conservation Area

The Chilren's Water Festival will help students from Grades 3 to 5 learn more about our water resources. The Festival will highlight activity centres to provide students with hands-on opportunities to better understand water protection, water resources, water conservation, water science and water technology.

If you would like to get involved as a volunteer or sponsor, please contact the Water Festival Coordinator, Linda Irving, at 451-2800 x224 or by email. More information about the Water Festival can be found at this website.

 ReForest London Incorporation, Seeks Treasurer

Along with spring comes a new birth for ReForest London.

ReForest London has recruited a strong founding board and has just applied to incorporate as a non-profit charitable organization. We are still seeking an Accountant to serve as our Treasurer. If you would like more information, please contact us.

Until now, we have been a committee of the Urban League of London, and are grateful for the direction and support that this organization has given us during our founding years.
