 Spring Projects

A student participating in the National Student Leadership Conference carris two trees to be planted in the Ivey 10,000 Trees for the Medway Valley project last fall.

Spring will find ReForest London planting trees in neighbourhoods, schoolyards, downtown, and natural areas.

We have projects with 6 neighbourhood groups and 7 schools. We are also launching our Greening the Core project (see below for more info).

Our Ivey 10,000 Trees for the Medway Valley project continues with a spring planting at Elsie Perrin Williams Estate.

Details for public planting dates will be sent in the next eNewsletter.

See our spring 2008 project list here.

Greening the Core

This spring ReForest London launches Greening the Core, a multi year project to plant trees downtown.

A 2008 Downtown Task Force key goal is to "Make London the Greenest in Canada". ReForest London will be part of making that goal a reality.

Volunteers Needed

Wilton Grove students planted trees at their school last fall.

Each spring and fall we ask your help in planting trees. We have several other volunteer positions available for those interested in helping throughout the year.

These include helping with donor recognition, staffing our display booth, graphic design, helping our fund raising committee, and more.

Earth Hour

At 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008, the City of London will join other cities around the world by turning off its non-essential lights for just one hour - Earth Hour - to show that it's possible to take action on global warming.

ReForest London encourages you to join in this symbolic event.
