THE SPIRIT OF THE CELLO

Dvorak's Cello Concerto, composed during his second stay in America, is one of the most popular works in the orchestral repertoire.  Orchestra London presents this masterpiece April 21 & 22 in a concert that brings friendship and music together.  Soloist Marcy Rosen, a cellist who enjoys an international career as a soloist and chamber musician, will join Orchestra London to play this spectacular work for no fee - "purely for the pleasure of being able to visit the orchestra and to rekindle a friendship (with principal cellist Christine Newland)."   For more information about this concert, click here.

ORCHESTRA LONDON REACHES OUT TO THE COMMUNITY

Building on the success of the Education Concert Series that was created in 2000, Orchestra London's Community Music Program continues to grow and allow the orchestra to reach other segments of the community.  This week, Orchestra London presents two more concerts in the Community Music Program.  The first on April 13th at Montcalm Secondary School will feature a combined choir of students from Montcalm and Hillcrest Public School.  The second concert will be on April 14th at White Oaks Public School and will feature the choir from the school.  Both concerts begin at 7:30pm with Jeff Christmas conducting.  For more information about the Community Music Program, click here.
