The Ministry of Labour has made it known that inspectors will be focusing on employers with high repetitive strain injuries. It is estimated that from 1996--2004, Ontario's employers paid more than
$12 billion in direct and indirect costs related to MSDs. Examples of indirect costs include overtime, equipment modifications, administration, retraining and lost productivity.
