It has literally been over a year since I announced the fact that I am opening a new salon in New York. The funny thing is time goes by so fast normally, but changes completely when you are actually waiting for something (or paying rent).

DRNY is now down to the wire, and I promise to have a definite date for all of you very shortly.

I now know what they mean when they say if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere!

Among the challenges have been the weather, vendors that don’t show up, time constraints for construction on 5th avenue, being 3,000 miles away, not being able to physically see the progress, and so much more that I don’t even care to go into.

I’m living proof that what doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger!

Now I’m starting to find a sense of calm towards the whole thing, as I see all the final pieces coming together to create an east coast experience that a lot of people have not had the pleasure of being a part of …yet!

We have even now filmed a few new episodes of Ten Years Younger inside the new location scheduled to air next year.

There’s the smokey, shimmery eye paired with light lips, and bright red lips balanced with a light eye.

Smokey shimmering eyes
I love to use the Damone Roberts Bling Bling or Gold Digger highlighters on the brow bone, dark shimmering eye shadow on the lid, and individual false lashes.

Pale lips
Simply apply clear gloss over bare lips, or a light colored lipstick.

Pale eyes
Begin by lining your eyes with a brown eyeliner, then apply the Damone Roberts Pink-A-Boo highlighter on lids, and brow bone. Finish it off with dark brown mascara.

Luscious red lips
Begin by lining your lips with a shade of lip liner close to your lipstick, and then apply the perfect shade of red.

To make it even more dramatic apply a dap of clear gloss just in the center of your upper and bottom lip.

Don’t forget your eyebrows. Fill them in with a pencil or brow shadow, and finish off by setting them with Damone Roberts brow gel.
