Damone Roberts New York has successfully completed its first few weeks of opening!

It was scary and exciting… all at the same time.

The interesting thing is you work extremely hard for so long and one day all you’ve worked for is here.
New York had their first snow storm of the season opening day, and all my ladies still showed up! That was extremely encouraging.

Many have written asking why we did a soft opening versus the Big Party and PR Campaign? The answer is any new business has things to work out. I have been blessed beyond belief and I know how busy my salon will be.

Being 3000 miles away, I want to make sure all the kinks are worked out before the big blitz.

I’m hearing all the fabulous ladies are walking around the Big Apple showing off the work of Brow Divas Armond & Maxine, and the buzz is in the air.

Slowly but surely…all is working out just as planned, and I couldn’t be prouder!

Academy Awards Best Dressed

I must be honest in stating that I was actually disappointed with this years Academy Awards.

My hypothesis is the telecast was extremely rushed due to the writers strike ending less than two weeks before the event.

All in all I felt the glamour and star power were lacking.

Below is my list of the five ladies who actually worked it out...

I actually gasped aloud when she walked out on stage. The look worked very well together bringing a old Hollywood flair to the screen.	I did not care for the hair or make-up, but the dress is stunning. Penelope was my favorite last year.	This my friends is how you do it! An old school Dorothy Dandridge flavor with a modern twist. The hair, make-up, brows, dress, and accessories all equal FABULOUS!	Love the dress and jewelry. Hated the hair!!!	Proves one can be sexy @ any age. The fit of the dress is accentuated by the confidence of a woman who is wearing the dress...not the other way around.
