Charlie Brown Your Love!
This
time of year is the most difficult for Charlie Brown.
His hopes of receiving Valentines (especially from that
little red-headed girl) are always crushed when he repeatedly
discovers that his mailbox is empty! The folks at Snoopy’s
Home are trying
to lift Charlie Brown’s spirit by collecting valentines
for him in a huge mailbox in front of the arena. Beginning
one week before Valentine’s Day, the Valentines
will be read on the loudspeaker over the ice. Be sure
to come by for a special ‘Valentine Session’
on Tuesday, February 14 from 6:30-8:30 when
Charlie Brown and Snoopy will be there, live and in
person, to collect Chuck’s valentines!

New
Exhibit Opening!
We are excited about the newest exhibition, Sugar
and Spice: Little Girls in the Funnies,
which is opening on Saturday, February 4
with an evening reception for Members only. Everyone
is welcome to come by on the following Saturday,
February 11, for a FREE viewing of Sugar and
Spice, including a noon presentation titled, “A
Century of Women Cartoonists,” and gallery tours
by writer/historian Trina Robbins. The Cartoonist-in-Residence
will be Kathryn LeMieux, co-creator of the Six Chix
comic strip. The exhibit will run through
April 30th.
It's
Good to be a Red Head!
On
Monday, February 13 entrance to the
museum is free for red-headed girls, in celebration
of Valentine’s Day and Charlie Brown’s affection
for a certain little Red-Haired Girl. Everyone is invited
to come and make Valentine cards for their loved ones
from noon to 5 p.m.
